Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, recently took to social media to express his admiration for Aditya Srivastava, the 2023 UPSC Civil Services Examination topper, in a heartfelt post on X.
In his post, Mahindra shared a video detailing Aditya Srivastava’s remarkable journey and expressed his profound respect for those who succeed in the challenging UPSC examination, particularly after being moved by the movie “12th Fail.” Directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and starring Vikrant Massey, the film portrays the inspiring story of real-life IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcame extreme poverty to conquer the UPSC exam.
“After watching #12thFail, I’m truly impressed by everyone who clears the UPSC examination. And someone achieving the top rank? Well, I’m absolutely in awe. Congratulations, Aditya! May you, and others like you, propel our nation towards progress,” Mahindra wrote on X.

Aditya Srivastava, an IIT-Kanpur alumnus, clinched the coveted top spot in the UPSC Civil Services Mains Examinations 2023, announced on April 16. Alongside Srivastava, Animesh Pradhan secured the second position, followed by Donuru Ananya Reddy in third place.
